New & improved! CKC Special
When you purchase just three or more classes/activities you'll automatically receive a FREE Friday and Saturday daily pass AND a Friday Early Entrance pass that will allow you to enter the Vendor Faire at 9 a.m. before the hall opens to the public at 10 a.m.! (To receive the CKC Special, you must select "CKC Special" from the drop down menu during Step 1 of the registration process.)

If you choose not to register for classes online or if you would like to add more classes to your schedule once registration has closed, all remaining available class tickets will be sold at the event. Students must be at least 10 years of age or older to attend classes.

Breaks between classes will last at least 20 minutes, depending on time needed for class clean-up, set-up and preparation. Please exit your classroom when class ends, even if your next class is in the same room. This will give teachers that needed time to straighten up and prepare for the next class.

Bring basic supplies to class
Come to class prepared with your essential, basic supplies to help you complete in-class projects:

  • Favorite pair of straight-edge, micro-tip scissors
  • Personal 12" x 12" paper trimmer
  • Favorite adhesives, both wet and dry
  • Black archival journaling pen
  • Paper piercer and mat
  • Stapler
  • Regular hole punch
  • Black and brown distressing ink
  • Corner rounder

These items will not be supplied to use in your classes so it’s important that you bring your own to ensure you’ll be able to complete the projects presented. Additional, optional supplies include a camera to snap shots of finished projects, paper and pen to take notes, and the tools you can’t live without, such as eyelet setting tools.

We highly recommend you check each of your class descriptions to see if the teacher requests you bring additional supplies or tools to class. Be sure to write your name on your belongings so you can keep track of them!

Yuzen Birds sponsored by Life’s Journey’s Scrapbooking
    Friday at 4:30 p.m.

The word “Yuzen” was borrowed, only several decades ago, from the kimono-making industry in Japan. It refers to a type of dying technique used to decorate fabric from traditional, Japanese silk garments. Papers are hand-silk screened with patterns taken from these exquisite textile designs. We will be crafting with red, peach and white blossom Yuzen paper and chipboard birds and shapes to create two beautiful wall hangings/mobiles. This is a very unique class and extremely detail oriented. We will also be creating some Origami “bead” butterflies. If you are really into paper arts and hand crafting, this is the class for you. Blossoms, paints, chalk and a variety of other embellishments will also be used to complete these wonderful projects.

Scrap In the Box sponsored by The Paper Element
    Friday at 9:50 a.m.

Join us in class and you’ll create a decorative 9”x9” wooden shadow box with a window. We will be painting and covering the shadow box using unique fun papers from The Paper Element. We’ll also be using ribbon, brads, rub-ons and showing you how to create a 3 dimensional flower. This project is great to display on a desk, table or hanging on a wall. Sure to be a great gift for everyone!

    ACTIVITIES
